It all began with a simple plan: book tickets to see Robbie Williams in Bath. Sorted. But when we checked hotel prices, it felt like they’d added a zero for every syllable in his name. Double, treble\u2014some places were charging more than the concert itself. We laughed, winced, and then did what any smart (tight) pair would do: we looked for loopholes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being the clever (tight) duo we are, we sniffed out a \u00a32.50 overnight park & ride spot and a \u00a35 return bus. No brainer. Victor the Vito was swiftly transformed into our mobile hotel. Packing list? Airbed, double sleeping bag, nibbles, and a change of clothes for a cheeky canal run the next morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We found a quiet corner of the car park, nestled beside some overgrown shrubbery\u2014privacy and ambiance, wink wink. The loo was 20p, which felt like luxury compared to hotel rates. Victor was ready. So were we.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert? Electric. Robbie was on form, the crowd was buzzing, and the support act\u2014whoever they were\u2014blew us away. lottery Winners I think they called themselves. It was awesome to have thousands of fans shouting out your name… But the real show started after the encore. Bath city centre turned into a slow-motion zombie invasion, with thousands shuffling toward transport like extras in a low-budget apocalypse. We waited patiently for a bus\u2026 and watched three sail past without stopping. Turns out we were 700 yards from the actual bus stop, just vibing with a crowd who\u2019d decided to invent their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventually, it seemed hours later, we found the right stop, grabbed a kebab, and munched away as we were chauffeured back to Victor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morning brought sunshine, squirrels, and a run along the canal. Eight locks, one pub, two pints of cider, and a belly full of sloshy joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wrapped up with a granola bowl in town\u2014Paula\u2019s choice. I went full bacon bap. Healthy stuff\u2019s fine, but bacon hits different. Just around the corner, Paula made friends with a gypsy horse. Bath was buzzing, friendly, and felt like a slice of France.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
